A second season of “The Glee Project” is now underway, on Tuesdays at 10:00 PM ET/9:00 PM CT on Oxygen, with a new cast of what began as 14 hopefuls vying for a guest role on the hit series “Glee.” At the time of this post, an “American Idol”-esque casting special aired on June 2, 2012 followed by the first official episode on June 5, 2012 with the theme “Individuality.”
Oxygen has picked up a second season of the critically acclaimed competition series “The Glee Project” for a summer 2012 debut. The spinoff competition series, which awards one winner a seven episode arc on “Glee,” will return with Ryan Murphy and Dante Di Loreto continuing as executive producers along with series executive producers Michael Davies and Shauna Minoprio of Embassy Row. “The Glee Project” will air on Oxygen this summer with 14 contenders — two more than season one — additional themes and all new music.

“The Glee Project” with open calls in Chicago on Saturday, December 18 and Sunday, December 19 and in Dallas on Saturday, January 8 and Sunday, January 9…performers will compete for a multi-episode guest-starring role on season three of hit series “Glee,” will premiere on Oxygen in June 2011…All of the 34,000 applications submitted through the earlier MySpace/”Glee” auditions have now been processed and the shortlisted applicants will be contacted by Friday, November 19.
Aubrey O’Day…back on the reality scene with her own show “The Aubrey O’Day Project” to air on Oxygen that will chronicle her journey to make it as a solo artist and searches for love. Premieres March 7, 2011 at 10 PM ET/PT on Oxygen.
We already know that “Glee” has been nominated for whopping 19 Primetime Emmy Awards this year, and there will a Britney Spears episode in Season 2. However, I’ve been scrubbing the internet and my entertainment magazines for more, more, more news about “Glee.”
