M.I.A. releases “27” in memory of Amy Winehouse

I just read about M.I.A. releasing a track called "27" in honor of Amy Winehouse's passing yesterday on billboard.com. VH1 Classic celebrates MTV’s 30th birthday with a 3-day celebration beginning July 30, 2011

I just wonder why MTV isn't doing this tribute on their channel? Maybe not the 3-day version, but even a 24 hour tribute would be appropriate for their 30 year anniversary.
