Aug 4, 2011: Hot Chelle Rae performs at The Rave in Milwaukee

Hot Chelle Rae band members Ian Keaggy, RK Follese, Jamie Follese, and Nash Overstreet performed at The Rave on Thursday, August 4, 2011 as part of the Friday is Forever Tour.  The group opened up by performing “I Like To Dance” and concluded with their top 1o Billboard Hot 100 smash single “Tonight Tonight.”  Intermixed in their set was an unexpected cover of Katy Perry‘s “Teenage Dream” that had all of the girls singing along.  They also performed a couple of new tracks from their sophomore album to be released sometime in October 2011.

Other bands performing were Action Item, The Downtown Fiction, The Summer Set, and We The Kings.

I wish they were headlining because I thought their set was too short, but their time will come.  On Twitter, the band hinted at the possibility of returning to Milwaukee around Christmas.  I’ll be sure to keep you updated as soon as I hear anything definitive.
