Kris Black’s “Blood” is Holly-Ween feast

With “The House that Jack Built” DVD recently released just in time for Halloween, producing partners Kris Black and Bruce Reisman are bidding a fond farewell to the horror-flick genre with the completion of their “love-hate letter” to independent horror movie-making “Blood Effects.”…early 2011 release.

If you’re truly into roots, rock, reggae the ones at the top of their game have been Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, and Gregory Isaacs. On October 25, 2010 the “Cool Ruler” Gregory Isaacs died of lung cancer at the tender age of 59. He had been battling the big “C” for a year before his death.

Romantic comedy “Love Simple” set for international distribution with Synergetic on Nov 9

Your Indie Films/Synergetic Distribution has acquired worldwide distribution rights for the film “Love Simple,” directed by Mark von Sternberg. The film will be available for purchase internationally on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, and 10% of the proceeds of the film will benefit the world renowned Lupus Research Institute.

MTV cancels “The City” with Whitney Port after two seasons

MTV has canceled “The City” after two seasons. This really isn’t shocking news to me. While I watched “The City,” I never thought Whitney Port carried the show. It was the sideline drama that really made no sense but was still entertaining between Olivia Palermno and Erin Kaplan
