On Monday, November 2, 2009 the Kerry Rhodes Foundation “Bowling with the Stars” hosted by Kevin Hart took place at Lucky Strike Lanes & Lounge in the chic Luxe Suite and invaded NY City. Following the lavish black tie dinner at STK, celebrities surged into the Luxe Suite for the Kerry Rhodes Foundation “Bowling with the Stars” event. The attendees and celebrities began to flow into the venue at 9:30pm and before 11pm the man himself, Kerry Rhodes hit the red carpet and the crowd exploded!
As you entered the Luxe Suite a Kerry Rhodes Foundation logo ice sculptor provided by Ice Miracles greeted you at the entrance. The room flowed with passed hors d’oeuvres, an open bar with an abundance of corporate and elite attendees for the great atmosphere. The host for the evening Kevin Hart worked the room and kept people laughing until their face hurt from his constant jokes. Funk Master Flex heated the event on the 1’s and 2’s as the crowd danced to a mixture of tunes. Buddy “The Cake Boss” of Carlos Bakery provided an extreme cake which resembled a bowling lane with bowling balls and Kerry Rhodes Foundation bowling pins.
Celebrity attendees hit the red carpet and supported Kerry and his mission to raise money for the education of youth today. Celebrities included Adrienne Alexander, Allan Houston (NY Knicks), Bianca Golden (ANTM), Black Buddafly (Singing Group), Braylon Edwards (NY Jets), Briana Bingham (Harlem Heights), Clint Sintim (NY Giants), Danny Clark (NY Giants), Darcy Johnson (NY Giants), Darrelle Revis (NY Jets), Demarco Morgan (Anchorman WNBC NY), DJ Clue, DL Hughley, Dr. Marvell Scott (Sports broadcaster), Egypt, Fonsworth Bentley, Funk Master Flex, Gerris Wilkinson (NY Giants), James Ihedigbo (NY Jets), Jerricho & Mercedes Cotchery (NY Jets), Jessica Brown (Daddy Little Girls), Julissa Bermudez, Justin Miller (NY Jets), Kevin Hart (Comedian), Liris Crosse (Model), Michael Boley (NY Giants), Miguel Perdomo (Supermodel), Mike Hill (ESPN), Mike Muse (Obama campaign), Miles Austin (Dallas Cowboys), Ramses Barden (NY Giants), Sinorice Moss (NY Giants), Stephen A. ABOUT THE KERRY RHODES FOUNDATION
The Kerry RHODES Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2006 by NFL New York Jets star Kerry Rhodes. Kerry recognized the importance of inspiring young minds to visualize goals, and the need to provide resources that enable these same young minds to pursue and attain these goals. Mr. Rhodes understands these goals are best achieved through well equipped educational facilities which provide their students with choices, opportunities and inspiration. For this reason, one of the primary missions of the Foundation is to provide high schools located in financially depressed areas with resources, equipment, programs and activities that will assist with the academic, athletic, and social development of their students.
Additionally, Mr. Rhodes understands the importance of acknowledging the bold steps of those remarkable young men and women who dare to take their dreams even further. For this reason, the other primary mission of the Foundation is to provide financial assistance to these high schools to enable them to furnish scholarships to certain talented young men and women for the continuation of their academic careers beyond high school.
