New York, NY–August 26, 2009:  ELLIE ROCKS NYC formerly Diamond Dog New York, is reintroducing the luxury line of fine jewelry for style hounds.  The whimsical motifs inspired by designer Suzanne Mates’ pet dachshund ‘Ellie’ include Pit Bulls with attitude, high fashion Chihuahuas and many other artistically transformed breeds as well as bones, paw prints, crowns, and hearts.

The collection is handcrafted in New York City and comes in both 18k white or 18k matte yellow gold is hand-set with micro-pavé white, brown and black diamonds, onyx, sparkling pink, blue and yellow sapphires.  This luxury line includes exceptional pendants, earrings and rings for women and bold rings, pendants and stunning cuff links for men of style.

“The Dog and Cross Bones pendant represents one of my many distinctive designs that I created for those that have loved the skull and cross bones designs of the past,” enthuses Suzanne.  “Lovingly made with the highest quality of materials, this design features the warmth of a hand-set, fanciful pink sapphire tongue, and accent to cherish.”

Suzanne Mates, designer of ELLIE ROCKS NYC, was a major tastemaker in the music world and ran some of the most legendary recording studios in New York City.  Suzanne has worked with many trend-setting artists such as Joss Stone, Wyclef, Busta Rhymes and 50 Cent when she got her new best friend ‘Ellie.’  Ellie is the inspiration behind the luxury couture jewelry collection that also pulls at your heart-strings.  Suzanne studied at FIT, putting her flair and great style into the creation of what Rapaport Magazine and JCK highlight as one of the ‘hottest’ new design lines of 2009.

ELLIE ROCKS NYC is a company with a conscience, using only non-conflict diamonds and donating a portion of net sales to the Tri-County Humane Society in Boca Raton, Florida and The Animal Haven in New York City (both no-kill shelters).
