My first reaction to reading this news is Nooooooooooo! Don’t try to remake a good thing! “Fame” was the “High School Musical” of my time. I quote it in the “About Me” section (well the quote is from the tv series). I loved the movie AND the spinoff tv series. I dreamed of going to NY School for the Arts. Who could forget Leroy? Coco? Mrs. Sherwood?
Are Lakeshore Entertainment and MGM greedy for a piece of the current “High School Music” pie? I totally heart HSM. I have a HSM lunchbox, notebooks, and all kinds of goodies, but I TREASURE my “Fame” soundtrack.
Oh well, I guess it’ll give you younger ones a chance to enjoy a pop cult classic with a modern spin.
