I was perplexed when I got a personalized email from James Blunt, most widely known for his 2004 hit “You’re Beautiful,” with a link to his new single “Bonfire Heart.” Cheesin’ as much as I do when I get a “personalized” email from President Obama, I clicked the link to listen to Blunt’s single “Bonfire Heart,” and I actually liked it. There were mixed reports as to whether or not this mass mailing was clever marketing maneuver or an honest mistake leaking the song to millions. Nonetheless, it got people talking and people like me listening to Blunt’s music again…and blogging about him for the first time ever, so “up top” to whoever sent the email out. 😉

In the mass email, Blunt describes the “Bonfire Heart”: “The song is about love, life, fear and hope… and more than anything, you… and me…”
