Anyone who misses the sound of an actual band as the backdrop for music has got to love The Roots. I’m excited to read that they will be the house band for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy Fallon is slated to take Conan O’Brien‘s late night spot on March 2, 2009.

I’m going to phone in for some free tickets to the show before the show gets canceled.
I’m not saying anything, but Jimmy Fallon? Jimmy Fallon? Really? If my name was Fallon, I would get it changed. From viewing a few of his internet-only mini segments, I wouldn’t want to be associated with the name Fallon.
Hopefully the show will last. I mean Jay Leno isn’t all that funny, but he made it work. I often ask myself why am I watching Jay Leno while I’m watching Jay Leno.
Incidentally, if only Ifelicious posted this post a long time ago (when the site was given the opportunity long ago) she could have scoped the New York Daily News.
