Tiger‘s now official ex-wife, Elin Nordregen, did a one time “tell all” interview for People magazine.  Having remained silent until now, Elin invited People mag into her home on August 15, 2010.  Over the course of 4 visits totaling 19 hours of interview time, no photos of the children allowed, the result was a 12-page feature that touted it would answer all unanswered questions and set the records straight, from Elin’s perspective.

Save your $4.49 on a copy of the issue because there was no shocking revelation.  Heck, we’re in a recession, right? What I want is the tapes/notes from those 19 hours.  That’s where the unscripted, uncensored by lawyers deets remain.  Who knows?  People, no pun intended, will sell their soul to tabloids.  Perhaps something will leak out sooner or later of interest.

I took the $4.49 hit to my pocketbook (it’s a super cute messenger/bohemian styled one that i bought in Harvard Square a while back) and have summed up the highlights for you below:

• Elin doesn’t care about the dollar amount of her settlement (rumored in the $100 million neighborhood) stating, “Money can’t buy happiness…or put a family back together.” Later in the article she shares, “Money doesn’t make you happy, but I have to be honest: It is making some things easier.”
• Elin had absolutely no clue that Tiger was cheating on her because “For the last 3 1/2 years while this was going on…I was home a lot more with pregnancies, then the children, then my school.”  The news was a complete shock. (that’s what she said…)
• Elin insists she did not come after Tiger with a golf club when he crashed into that tree last Thanksgiving.  That’s her story (and his) and they’re sticking to it.
• Elin grew up playing soccer in Sweden.  That was the most rockin’ discovery of the interview.  Go soccer chicks!!!
• Elin has a twin sister. (no comment…)
• Elin doesn’t like being in the spotlight
• Elin can apply her fantastic Psychology 101 (she’s working on her bachelor’s in psychology) stages of grief to her own life now- shock, anger, depression.  She told People, “I am still working on the last stage, forgiveness and/or acceptance.”
• Her mom did not pass out from the stress of the rumors about her daughter and then husband back in December.  She caught a stomach bug from Elin and Tiger’s son Charlie.  Coupled with her history of low blood pressure, she fainted/collapsed.
• Elin is not running of to Sweden with her children because she loves America and it’s her home now. (sure, that had nothing to do with Tiger)

There you have it.  Class dismissed! 

At a press conference held on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in New York, BET announced the host of the BET Awards show this year, nominees in each category, planned performances for the night, and more. Queen Latifah, who is starring alongside my secret boyfriend Common (really, it’s no secret, it’s the only celeb that i completely crush on…anyway, i digress) in the movie “Just Wright,” has been selected to host this year’s awards show that airs on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at 8:00 PM EST.  Each year, the BET Awards honors the best in music, entertainment, and sports.

Jay Z is this years top nominee in 5 categories while wifey Beyonce has 4 as well as Alicia Keys, Trey Songz, and Melanie Fiona who have been nominated in 4 categories.  Confirmed performances include Diddy-Dirty Money, Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj, and Drake.  Newcomers this year include Justin Bieber for Best New Artist, Selena Gomez for Young Stars Award, and Zoe Saldana for Best Actress.

My personal “WTF Were They Thinking?” nominations include Justin Bieber as Best New Artist, Chris Brown as Best Male R&B Artist, the entire Best Female Hip Hop Artist category, and Tiger Woods‘s nomination for Subways Sportsman of the Year.

I get there’s a PR play that Tiger Woods needs to ace, but I feel like the media is saturated with holier than thou commentary, rumors, speculation, and a few morsels of fact.  I’m posting a few clips below, but I want to know what YOU think Tiger does or does not need to do to reclaim his status.

Gotta love this!  Kari Ann Peniche has recently made a name for herself in the reality TV circuit on VH1 shows “Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew,” “Celebrity Rehab 3,” and not yet aired “Soberhouse 2.”  Apparently, she’s putting her vocal skills to the test with the recent release of “U and Me and Tiger Make 3.”

I really wanted to be sympathetic to Kari Ann when she was on “Sex Rehab,” but she lost my vote when she provoked staff member Selma leading her to lose her cool and ultimately being fired.  Selma’s hair extension grabbing reflex was so characteristically described in an episode from “The Boondocks” episode as a “ni**a moment.”  Case and point below:

Kari Ann responds to this in one of her blog posts (click HERE).  This week, we learn on “Celebrity Rehab 3″ that she has a methamphetamine addiction, but I still don’t think that has anything to do with her childish, spoiled brat tendencies.  A bit of it, I agree with Dr. Drew on “Sex Rehab” is some arrested development, but some is the fact that she’s been able to get away with it for so long.
