March 13, 2010, WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — Former Danity Kane and MTV’s “Making the Band 3″ with Diddy, Aubrey O’ Day made an appearance at Celebrity hotspot Millions of Milkshakes in West Hollywood on Saturday March 13th, 2010 to launch her new drink to benefit the American Red Cross for the Earthquake victims of Chile and Haiti. Not only that, but her milkshake brought the boys to the yard, in the form of Sesame Street’s own Elmo and actor Quinton Aaron from the Academy award nominated film “The Blindside” that landed Sandra Bullock Best Actress honors.

Upon arrival Aubrey was swarmed by the fans and the media among others causing a huge frenzy and traffic jam on Santa Monica Blvd between Robertson and San Vicente. It took almost 10 minutes to get her out of the car because it was surrounded. It was even almost impossible to walk her through such a large crowd as fans tried to get a glimpse of her and get their pictures signed.

Once inside, Aubrey created her signature shake called “Aubrey’s Cherrydise Shake” consisting of tons of cherries, vanilla, chocolate fudge and chocolate chunks.

Teen Retailer to host celebrity-judged online contest seeking everyday teens doing good everyday

New York, New York — March 15, 2010 /PRNewswire/ — Celebrating real, everyday teens across the country, New York-based retailer Aéropostale, Inc. (NYSE: ARO) is seeking teenagers who demonstrate respect, integrity, and compassion for others no matter how big or small with the launch of their “Real Teens 2010” contest.

Rounding out my music related posts for today, I wanted to pick something mellow from the 80s and “Holding Back the Years” by Simply Red came to mind.  It’s on their album entitled “Picture Book” originally released in 1985.  Simply Red’s lead singer Mick Hucknall (aka “Red”) from the UK wrote the song when he was 17 years old.  The song is inspired by Red’s childhood having been raised by his father after his mother left the home when he was 3 years old. “Holding Back the Years” hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the summer of 1986.

Diggy’s on fire right now!

Having the internet going nuts last Friday being the first to release a remix to Drake’s “Over” and dropping “Just The Beginning” wasn’t enough for the younger Simmons. Hopping in the studio once again, Diggy Simmons got the “clearance from Nas” and wrecks “Made You Look” and created “Flow Stoopid.” Don’t forget to check out Diggy’s, “The First Flight” mixtape which was dropped in December.

New song “I Have Never Wanted to be Number One” posted on band’s Myspace page.

The End Records is proud to announce the worldwide release of “VOL. II” from Daniel Lioneye (on Warner Bros. Records in Finland), the side project from members of HIM (www.myspace.com/heartagram), on April 27th. Consisting of Linde (HIM) on guitars, bass and vocals, Burton (HIM) on keyboards and Bolton (Enochian Crescent) on drums, the band has always embraced breaking boundaries and taking new directions, which is exactly what they did on their sophomore release.

Formed in 2001, Daniel Lioneye’s debut album, “The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll,” was only released in Finland and Germany and was a “tongue in cheek” psychedelic stoner rock album. Earning the group quite a bit of attention, the band played at handful of festivals in Finland which resulted in the title track being the theme song for Bam Margera’s TV show, “Viva La Bam.” Simply called “VOL. II,” the band’s North American debut is heavier than the band’s prior release, making it an extreme, yet melodic, rock n’ roll album influenced by black metal.

The first song available for listening on the band’s Myspace page is “I Have Never Wanted To Be Number One.” Linde had the following to say about the song… “This is no doubt the most accessible song on the album and believe it or not it was written about 5 years ago. It was meant to be an acoustic ballad but this album is not about acoustic ballads so we started to fuck around with it. At first I thought that it sticks out a bit too much from the rest of the stuff and wasn’t sure if I should include it. It sounded too serious and stiff to me. Then Burton came in with his 80’s keys and we added the blast beat part in the end and it changed my mind. Lyrically I guess it is about moving on. But it kind of raises more questions than gives answers and I like to keep it that way.”

New York, NY- Bullet For My Valentine have announced dates for their US headline tour in support of the band’s upcoming third release, FEVER, in stores April 27th and featuring the blistering single “Your Betrayal” which was the #1 most added track on alternative radio. This marks the bands first trip back to American soil since playing the main stage at The Mayhem Festival last summer.

The tour starts in Worcester, MA on April 30th at the Palladium and concludes on May 30th in Detroit, MI at the Fillmore.
