Claude Kelly is well known for writing the pop smash hit for Miley Cyrus, “Party in The USA,” as well as Time Magazine’s #1 song of the year, “My Life Would Suck Without You” by Kelly Clarkson. “My Life Would Suck Without You” jumped from #97 to #1 on Billboard Hot 100 after selling 280,000 digital downloads in its first week; a feat unseen in Billboard’s 50-year history. This was also Claude Kelly’s first #1 song. “Party in The USA” debuted at # 1 on both pop and digital Billboard charts. It was also the 2nd most added song of the year at radio.

When asked about his ability to craft hit songs for artists of different genres, Claude Kelly says, “I think I have a gift, but what keeps getting me work is the attention to the artists themselves. I’m really paying attention to what songs make the artist better.”

Claude Kelly’s career began in 2006 with Frankie J’s “Daddy’s Little Girl,” but was fully ignited in 2007 when Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Akon asked Claude to write songs to some of his tracks. One of those tracks was “Forgive Me,” written for Leona Lewis’ debut album and produced by Akon, respectively. By 2009, Claude Kelly had blossomed into a multi genre hit-making songwriter.

Expect to hear more hits from Claude Kelly in 2010, beginning with new music from Christina Aguilera and Ke$ha. He is also currently working with and writing songs for Jennifer Hudson, Faith Hill and Fantasia.
