Wow, I’ve been out of touch with the happenings of Day 26! Last month, the group ended their relationship with Bad Boy and consequently Diddy who hand picked the group through the MTV “Making The Band” reality series. The group is now with Atlantic Records. This morning, I read that Day 26 has officially dropped Que from the group.
Here’s his video response. He starts addressing fans at 4:13 into the video (before that it’s wack. they should’ve just edited that out. holla at your girl Ifelicious the next time you need to get ishh together).
Que constantly saying “I’m not crazy” makes him sound crazy like Chris Brown going off but claiming he’s not violent. Is it just me or does it seem like Dawn is the puppeteer in this? You hear her in the background several times reminding him about stuff. 🙄 Whatever, Que. Do you. Hooray for your new managment, but I hope they don’t continue to throw together some bootleg video like you just showed us as a form of communication. Ya, I’m hatin, but Que is talented so like I said “Do you.” We’ll be here waiting.
If you watched “Making the Band 4: Season 3” you know that Que was showing signs of cracking all season long, and that was nearly a year ago (see my post “Que meltdown with Day 26 and Dawn to the rescue!“). Evidently, his issues were not simply part of savvy editing that ended when the season ended.
Now the reality show training wheels and Diddy’s endorsement that gave them instant fame are off and Qwanell “Que” Mosley has been kicked to the curb, it’s time to see if Day 26 can stand on their own.
Oh, and I’m with Danielle Canada from Hip-Hop Wired who also had no idea about Day 26’s women’s shoe line called “Eight2Six”…
Released in September, Eight2Six shoes coincided with the groups single, “Your Heels.” The line’s first product was the “Swagga Heel” featured in three different colors and priced at $99.99. (source: Hip-Hop Wired)
You can find the shoes on Heels.com (http://www.heels.com/shoe-brand/eight2six-by-day-26). They’re kinda fly!
That Grape Juice has a good blog post on the drama with Que including the WGCI interview with Willie from Day 26 on the matter. Click HERE for more.
What’s up with Que and Dawn? I haven’t read much about them as a couple lately.

Vincet says
wow…I was outta the loop too! Had no idea.
Tamika says
i really think that they should have kept que in the group because they just are not the same without him, they should have just learned to get over it.
Prudence says
OMG I can’t believe they did that…wow that was really unexpected. But honestly I think they should bring him back cause without him Day 26 won’t be the same
Meaka says
I feel that if he was hurting the group, and they took more then enough steps for him too step up his game and get back on track, they did the right thing.
ifelicious says
Meaka- i agree. it’s hard for all of the members of a band, especially one assembled via a reality show, to really gel and grow as a unit. if you watched “Diddy’s Making the Band” series on MTV, you could see that Que was having issues getting along with the group for some time. thanks for commenting!
