Latisse®- Why the hell would you want meds to grow your eyelashes?

I don’t pay attention to a lot of commercials including the one for Latisse® (latisse.com). For some reason, however, it caught my attention the other day, and I was like WTF?? A prescription to help you grow longer eyelashes? Why? Also, it wasn’t until I copied the quote posted above that I even realized it’s actually for a medical condition. Somehow, I’m thinking that diagnosis is HIGHLY subjective.
Ever since then, I am stare perplexed whenever the commercial airs. You know Brooke Shields is one of my girl crushes, and her eyes are fabulous, but why would she even endorse this prescription oddity?

adub- LOL, Cossaundra doesn’t read this blog nor do I think she knows about it. It’s ridiculous some of the medications they promote on the market. I’ve seen an episode of The Doctors where the plastic surgeon guy (Dr. Drew Ordon) talked about a surgical procedure where they can take hair from your head and implant on your eyelashes if it were truly an issue. Downside of that was that you had to trim your eyelashes for life because they would grow the way your hair does.
So, here’s the deal!!! I suffer from short, stubby lashes and researched products to try. Latisse was out of the question, due to all the nasty side effects and the fact that it is a glaucoma drug. I finally decided on Revitalash eyelash conditioner. I paid $90.00 on line and it was worth every penny!!! It took about 8-9 weeks to see a noticable difference, but the wait was well worth it. I never had any irritation or hair growing where I didn’t want it to. I’m now using it on my brows and am thrilled to see hairs sprouting where they haven’t in years…
I saw Brooke Shields on Entertainment Tonight talking about it. I went in to try Latisse but i can’t afford $120/month. My salon suggested using Revitalash instead. I’ve read reviews and they are as promising as they say. Also, i heard about the side effects of Latisse. So far so good with Revitalash. Haven’t experienced any itching or redness. And the best part about it is it does work!
