Behind the scenes look at Kris Black photo shoot for Men’s Health

The next project coming out of FourTwoFive Films co-written by and starring Kris Black is “Five Good Years.” Filming has not even commenced but the buzz is already in the air. The folks at Men’s Health magazine held a photo shoot with Kris on August 18, 2009 for one of their upcoming issues (i will provide details as soon as i get them). There was also a film crew capturing documentary footage for the making of “Five Good Years.” While Kris was tied up with the photo shoot, I was able to steal co-owner of FourTwoFive Films and veteran TV/Film writer Bruce Reisman who parted with some wisdom and honest commentary on the film industry as well as their current film project “Five Good Years” (interview post coming soon).

About the film “Five Good Years”

Set against the backdrops of the West Virginia coal mines and the world of professional boxing, “Five Good Years” tells the story of Alex Winston, a 24 year old coal miner who is the eldest of three children to Alicia Winston. Forced to be the “other” breadwinner in the family, Alex went into the mines at an early age. He, with his mom, and the help of his younger twin brother and sister, the Winston family has survived.
But fate takes a dreadful turn, when Alicia is diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer, for which the only experimental treatment, is not covered by the coal mining insurance plan. Desperate to save his mother’s life, and without her knowing it, Alex takes the job as the human punching bag…
